Client side Project Manager - Capital works

We are looking for a driven and professional project manager who has proven track record in successfully managing complex capital projects. 

The Company
Our client is a high-profile organisation with a large number of property assets across a range of sites. Based in the Adelaide CBD in professional offices. This role is an in-office opportunity.

The Role
With a strong client interface, this position will focus on the delivery of a major project.

Key duties will include:
  • Feasibility and project planning
  • Capital project delivery of complex projects
  • Consult with internal clients to scope projects
  • Leading and managing a team to deliver high performing and professional outcomes
  • Accountable for best practice project management and processes
  • High level problem solving 
  • Budget and financial management
  • Issue tender documents
  • Work closely with consultants and contractors
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Attend site and project meetings
  • Legislation knowledge 
  • Consult with both internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Experience
A qualification in construction or project management (or similar) will be highly regarded along with proven experience in a similar role.
A government or defence background will be ideal. 

You will thrive on variety and working in a fast-paced role and enjoy end to end project management. Strong consultation skills and the ability to keep projects running on time and on budget will be key to your success.

Excellent communication and analytical skills, a high level of computer literacy and the ability to manage a high volume of work across a large number of reporting entities are essential.

A current police clearance, full driver's license and full working rights are required for this role.  Some local and local regional travel may be required. 
Must be available to start with short notice.

What's on offer
This is a temporary 12 month role with  possibility of an extension, paid as a Temp on a weekly pay and hourly rate (not a permanent role). Standard hours are 37.5 per week (with flexibility) with the head office located in the CBD of Adelaide. No weekend work is required. A car will be provided for any travel undertaken during work hours.
